EXID to make Korean comeback


Following the viral hit "Up & Down", girl group EXID has confirmed a comeback for April 13.

The new teaser consists of popular member HANI is seen staring sexily into the camera. Hoping for more success, EXID will be back with individual teasers.

TRITOPS Korean Comeback



TRITOPS is a beloved Korean ballad group under the management of Simtong Entertaintament (GLOBAL ICON), well known for their impeccable vocals, exquisite harmony and emotive performances. Although they have been mainly promoting in Japan lately, they have just announced their new Korean come back!

Little is known as of yet, but we only have to wait three days.

RED VELVET's First Win


Rookie girl group RED VELVET seem to be taking the industry by storm. Just a few days ago at Music Bank, their landed their first win only eight months after debut. They thank their fans tearily, saying that, "After releasing just a digital single, we are now selling our first album. We believe we've risen up to this spot because our many fans liked it; we feel very honored. We are so thankful."

EXO finally bring us their 'EXODUS'



Almost a year since their last comeback the ultra hot Idol Group, EXO, has finally announced their official comeback to the music scene with their 2nd full length album, EXODUS.

Earlier today their company, SM Entertainment, uploaded a video onto their YouTube channel of the member, Kai, strolling around the streets of London. In the video several clues were given for fans to decipher EXO's full concept for this comeback.

One being the opening of the twitter account, @PathcodeExo, which tweeted two questions today, and the answers to those questions unlocked all of Kai's teaser images on the EXO website. Another hint to EXO's concept is their logo. It appears to say EXO at first glance, but if you look a bit harder it also forms the shape of a cube. All the hidden meanings and imagery have sent fans into a frenzy, but this does nothing but hype up this highly anticipated comeback.

A teaser will be released every day until their comeback which will be on March 30th. Fans can expect to hear all the songs they performed at their EXO'LUXION concerts the past two weeks such as "El Dorado", "EXODUS", and "Call Me Baby". Stay tuned for more updates here at Trending Hallyu.

 

Catch GIRLS' GENERATION



GIRLS’ GENERATION tease fans with a teaser image for their upcoming Japanese single, “Catch Me If You Can”. The single will be released April 22nd, and will be their first comeback as an 8 member group.
The image shows the 8 girls in fitted cargo pants, ripped up white crop tops, and black combats boots, showing us they’re going for a military concept this time.
The song is said to have a strong EDM beat and the dance scenes are a must see! The CD also will come with a mid-tempo ballad called “Girls”.
 Fans are also realizing the hashtag, #CatchGG, which was announced back in early December ties in with the new single.

LABOUM gives fans some 'Sugar'



In early March, LABOUM fans were met with a pleasant announcement of the rookie girl group’s first comeback with their second single album, “Sugar, Sugar”! 

The girl’s company began releasing teaser images of each the members in white gowns on a mattress with white sheets.The girls appear to be portraying an innocent yet sensual concept this go round which is sure to get all their fans all riled up and wanting more, with their more mature concept. “

RED VELVET release Ice Cream Cake


The new 5 membered girl group RED VELVET has finally brought their fans some 'Ice Cream Cake' with a new song and music video. RED VELVET's new song has been getting lots of favorable reviews from fans and many international KPOP fans.

While the song starts off in a semi-creepy "la-la-la-la", the song moves towards a upbeat dub step and synth hybrid. "It's so tasty, come and chase me~" will be playing in our heads all day!

RED VELVET have also released "Automatic", a pre-release for their upcoming album. The full album will drop off tonight, 12PM KST! Be sure to support RED VELVET and check out their music video below!

Red Velvet Wish SNSD's Taeyeon Happy Birthday



On the recent episode of Red Velvet's Ice Cream TV, broadcasted through Naver Music, The rookie group paid a visit to one of their most respected sunbaes, Taeyeon of Girls' Generation.

The girls visted the leader of the popular girl group at her birthday showcase. They brought her a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake, and asked their respected unnie some advice on how to act during Radio and TV broadcasts and in true sunbaenim fashion, gave her hoobaes some wise advice.

Red Velvet Releases MV Teaser





The now five member group, RED VELVET, released a teaser to the music video of their highly anticipated comeback track "Ice Cream Cake".

The teaser included a snippet of the song as well as some eerie imagery and mysterious shots of the girls. RED VELVET is set to make their official Comeback next week with the release of their first mini album March 17th at noon through various online music stores.

Red Velvet Comesback With Ice Cream Cake




The K-pop world has been abuzz with the news of SM Entertainment's newest group, RED VELVET, making their comeback to the music scene with their first mini album titled "Ice Cream Cake".
Much hype is surrounding this comeback especially with the announcement of the group's newest member, YERI!

SM has been releasing teaser images ever since Monday of this week, with each member rocking different shades of blonde hair and stunning blue eyes.

In addition to the teaser images, SM Entertainment released two audio snippets of their songs "Automatic" and "Ice Cream Cake". Furthermore, it has also been revealed that Red Velvet will have a comeback showcase which will be aired through Naver Music called "Red Velvet's Ice Cream TV".

The album is expected to be released on March 17th at noon KST through various online music stores. Are you excited for RED VELVET's comeback?




AILEE announces Japanese song



Soloist AILEE had posted just minutes ago about her new Japanese single 'SAKURA', which is due for release on the 25th of this month. AILEE is known for her powerful vocals, emotive performances and brilliant dancing skills. She made headlines recently with her beautiful editorial spread for GQ Magazine.

BEDNI event has K-Star support


Fashion brand Bendi has had a wave of KPOP start support today with APINK's BOMI, soloist G.NA and BROWN EYED GIRLS' some of the few names at their event today. In addition to these names, there was also girl group 7TH GRADE CLASS ONE. 

Bedni is a brand which has been growing in popularity. There's do doubt that Bedni is a brand that Kpop stars are enjoying, especially with famous actress HAN YE SEUL as it's creative direction. Bedni has also been work by 4MINUTE's HYUNA and RAINBOW's WOORI.

EPIK HIGH at SXSW


EPIK HIGH will be performing at SXSW in Austin, Texas on Thursday, March 19 at Elysium. They will be on at around 1AM after acts such as Crayon Pop, Hitchhiker, EE, The Barberettes, Asian Chairshot and Eastern Sidekick. They have also just made the list of SXSW 2015's 15 International Acts You Must WatchI.

G-DRAGON's film comes to Mexico



It's been announced by YG Family on March 13th. 

G-DRAGON's 3D documentary film is going to be officially released in more than 20 theatres in Mexico before spreading to Central and South America starting on March 17th.

This movie will show G-DRAGON's performance from his ONE OF A KIND tour in 2013 and, containing 3D images and live performance videos, is said to make the audience feel as though they were right there in the crowd. It follows the tour through eight countries and thirteen cities and was previously showcased in Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore in 2013.

In the mean time, BIG BANG is said to be preparing for a comeback (finally) so there is a lot for VIPs to look forward to.

GIRL'S DAY'S MINAH becomes a woman


GIRL'S DAY'S MINAH is the first of the four member girl group to show off her talent as a solo artist. MINAH proves that "I Am A Woman, Too" by showing off her sexiness and femininity with her shirtless male parter.

MINAH's solo debut has been creating hot buzz with Daisys around the globe with her new look- platinum blonde layers against her dark, black hair. MINAH's first mini album will be released on the 16th of March.

DAVICHI has a TWO LOVE


Girl duo DAVICHI are set to have a comeback this month, together with many hot artists. Apparently, the title track 'Two Love' was composed by the same person who composed 'Some' which was popularised by artists JUNG GIGO and SISTAR's SOYOU.

However, the company has released that they have no plans for broadcast activities. Regardless of this, fans are still excited to see DAVICHI's comeback, after their previous comeback last January.

DAVICHI is widely popular for their talents in harmonisation and sweet love songs, and it's no doubt the song will be high in the charts when it is released!

BTS' RAP MONSTER has an 'AWAKENING'


Member RAP MONSTER of the trending group BANGTAN BOYS has dropped his solo with music video 'AWAKENING'.

The talented rapper shows off his skills and flair with words through both an impression song and a touching music video. RAP MONSTER slowly sheds off the bandage to show who he truly is- a strong and passionate musician.

RAP MONSTER's full mix tape will be releasing on the 17th of March and we're eager to hear everything else he's prepare for his fans.

100% covers Wild Flower


100%, a group from TOP Media had debuted in 2012, have been flying under the radar since the release of U BEAUTY (니가 예쁘다) last year.

However, they have just posted a beautiful cover of PARK HYO SHIN's 'Wild Flower' onto their YouTube channel, once again wow-ing their fans with their impeccable harmony skills and covers.

K-STARS spotted @ Agatha Premiere


Hallyu stars such as T-ARA, RAINBOW and BTOB's SUNGJAE were spotted today enjoying a VIP premiere of the musical 'Agatha'.

Agatha is also the musical with SUPER JUNIOR's RYEWOOK playing one of the central roles.

Agatha is a musical about an aspiring novelist named Raymond who is swept in plagarism rumours and is also the neighbor of famous writer, Agatha Christie.
